Today a warning by the FDA  raises new concern about breast implants risks and the possibility of developing a rare form of cancer.  FDA now agreeing with the World Health Organization who concluded last year that anaplastic large cell lymphoma could develop after getting breast implants.After the study confirms that all breast implants, saline and silicone, can cause cancer the study then goes on to say that most of the cases are caused by textured implants. Textured implants account for 99% of all implants in the US.  Many younger breast cancer survivors (like myself) opt for implant reconstruction afterwards to try to be more “normal” and feel better about ourselves. It’s bad enough that you have to check them all the time for leaks, now we hear the replacements are ALSO gonna try to kill you?
