Celebrity singer and entrepreneur Beyonce deleted her profile picture on social media and this set fans abuzz. Her fandom called Beyhive were aflutter speculating about the reason why her profile picture had been deleted. Some fans believed that she would drop a new album while another thought she might get back with her original music band Destiny’s Child. One pragmatic fan even said that the Queen Bey may drop new items for her clothing collection called Ivy Park. Fans also wondered if it was a prank from daughter Blue Ivy.
On Thursday, the 40-year old celebrity deleted her profile picture on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. This made the Beyhive think about her reasons for doing so. It must be remembered that Beyonce had deleted her profile pictures way back in 2016, following which she dropped her solo album, Lemonade in 2016.
Beyonce had released an album, in 2018 along with husband Jay-Z. Last year, she said that she had been working in the recording studio. She also spoke of having a finished product soon. She had appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in September 2021.
In her interview she told the magazine that she had been “in the studio for a year and a half.” She said that sometimes it took a year for her to personally search among “thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare.”
She said that there was nothing similar to the “love, passion and feeling” that she felt when she was in a recording studio. She said that the excitement remained the same as it was when she was nine years old. She also said, “Yes, the music is coming!”
Although Beyonce did not release a solo album she has recorded songs. In 2019, she recorded for The Lion King and in 2021 she recorded a song for King Richard. She released a charity single called Black Parade in 2020 that won her a Grammy.
Queen Bey also collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion for the “Savage” remix. It won two Grammys. However, it’s been six years since she released a solo album and fans are eagerly awaiting new music from the talented celebrity singer, instead of brand items from the successful entrepreneur that has been a part of Beyonce’s recent endeavors.
