Former Houston guard Terrance Arceneaux said Friday that he has chosen to continue his career at North Carolina State.

Arceneaux posted a picture of himself in an NC State uniform on social media and said “100% committed.”

Arceneaux picked the Will Wade-coached Wolfpack over Atlantic Coast Conference rival Virginia. He took official visits to both schools.

Arceneaux entered the transfer portal shortly after helping the Cougars reach the NCAA Tournament title game. Houston lost 65-63 to Florida.

“Thank you University of Houston for the support, opportunities, and memories, I’ll always be grateful for everything this school has given me,” Arceneaux said on social media.

Arceneaux played three seasons for Houston and averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds over 85 games (seven starts).

This past season, he averaged 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20.3 minutes over 40 games (six starts).

As a sophomore, Arceneaux played just 11 games due to a season-ending torn right Achilles.

Wade took over the NC State program after guiding McNeese to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack also landed guard Tre Hollomon (Michigan State) out of the portal last week.
