Musk’s company, SpaceX, is also seeing a boost after Trump is set to visit its headquarters in Texas. Now, the billionaire’s social media company is seeing a return of advertisements from American giants IBM, Comcast, and Disney.
Many large American businesses have stopped advertising on Platform X for multiple reasons. Elon Musk always said that his platform would allow free speech. In a few instances, American businesses’ advertisements appeared next to what can be termed hate speech, which could have resulted in these businesses pulling their ads from platform X.
Recently, large American businesses have appeared to be returning cautiously to social media platform X. Although the advertisement spending is unlike before, there is a gradual return of advertisements to X, and owner Elon Musk posted on his X account, acknowledging the return.
Elon Musk recently posted on X, “We appreciate major brands resuming advertising on our platform.” He also thanked Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X, and her team for their efforts to restore advertising by major American brands to the platform X, which he privately owns.
Elon Musk is seen alongside Trump at Mar-a-Lago and other places, including a UFC match. Trump appointed him and Vivek Ramaswamy to eliminate government waste, and they will jointly head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
