Celebrity rapper Kanye “Ye” West returned to Instagram on Wednesday, less than three weeks after Twitter and Instagram blocked his accounts, and he claimed he “lost 2 billion dollars in one day.” West addressed the ongoing consequences from his recent racist actions and antisemitic words in a series of Instagram postings.
West shared a fake news story with the headline, “Ye has reportedly cut relations with Kanye West,” in his first post after Instagram lifted the suspension, making fun of the businesses and brands that have cut ties with him this month.
In the most recent altercation between the long-feuding rappers, rapper 50 Cent made fun of Kanye West for declaring he had “broken ties” with himself following his anti-Semitism issue. The two rappers have been at each other’s throats for over ten years, and 50 Cent has previously made fun of Kanye for getting liposuction.
Kanye, who formally changed his name to Ye a year ago, quipped on Thursday that he was “breaking connections” with himself as companies continued to cut links with him due to his anti-Semitic outbursts. The rapper, 45, joked alongside the title, “Had to cut ties bro,” making light of himself after claiming to have lost $2 billion in a single day.
A day after tech tycoon Musk purchased Twitter, rapper Ye’s account, which had been suspended for tweeting anti-Semitic comments, appeared to be back.

Twitter’s new head took control on Thursday with ruthless efficiency, sacking some top executives with no explanation of how he plans to realize the goals set by him for the social media company. The CEO of Tesla Inc and a self-described ardent supporter of free speech has set out objectives to stop the platform from turning into a breeding ground for hatred and division.
The ‘free speech absolutist’ also stated that he will park the suspension on former US President Donald Trump’s account after the US Capitol attack. Trump has expressed satisfaction and said that Twitter was now in “sane hands.”
