Elon Musk, the new boss at Twitter, has finally suspended celebrity rapper Kanye West for his offensive tweets, particularly against the Jewish community. A user has asked the Twitter boss to take action against Kanye. Musk tweeted that Ye, as he is now called, had violated Twitter’s rule and his account on the platform has been suspended. Earlier, Kanye posted a series of tweets which are difficult to describe but might be considered weird, erratic, offensive or more.
Late Thursday, Elon Musk tweeted that the rapper had “violated our rule against incitement to violence.” In a Twitter post, he also said, “Account will be suspended.”
Earlier in October, Elon Musk took over Twitter and brought in a series of radical changes. However, the billionaire said that the reinstatement of Kanye West on Twitter was a decision that was taken by the social media platform, before his takeover.
Among the erratic posts that Kanye had tweeted on the platform, one of them was a symbol that combined two well recognized ones namely a Swastika that was used by the Nazis and a star, which is a religious symbol for the Jewish community.
Earlier on Thursday, celebrity rapper Kanye West had appeared on a podcast hosted by InfoWars media conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Ye appeared along with Nick Fuentes, who can be described as a Neo-Nazi.
Ye, who covered his entire face with a mask, sat next to the host Alex Jones. He had a Bible placed before him as well as a chocolate drink and a small net.
Kanye said, “I like Hitler” and also commented that every human being brought some value to the table including Hitler. He also put forth his appreciation for the Nazis. In a long interview, the rapper also spoke against others and took credit for making anti-semitism popular. He also allegedly made the host uncomfortable.
Kanye West’s earlier tirades against anti-semitism lost him many friends as well as business partners. However, he gained support from people who can be termed as Neo-Nazis as well as some of those who belong to the far-right. They are helping him in his 2024 presidential campaign.
Tangent: The celebrity rapper reportedly faces a disorder called bipolar disorder. Some mental health experts say that the condition is not responsible for his anti-semitic rants. Kanye West has gone through a lot including a divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian, reportedly over a billion dollar loss in business, is facing several lawsuits and more. However, he is still a popular singer and has many followers. Some people are worried that his anti-semitic comments are not only offensive but might fuel more divisiveness in the nation.
