Tesla (TSLA) might be the most successful electric vehicle company run by CEO Elon Musk. However, the tech titan has big plans and views about many other topics, including the takeover of Twitter, and he shared his views in a recent hour-long interview with a popular business outlet.
Elon Musk spoke to David Faber of CNBC after he had just finished the annual meeting of shareholders of Tesla in Austin, Texas on Tuesday. He put forth his views on a wide range of topics some of which are mentioned below.
Musk spoke of the problems caused by the Community Notes feature in Twitter, including lower spending on advertisements by major clients. He also defended tweets by him that caused controversy. He said that he would say what he wanted to say, even though he lost money due to the impact of his words.
Elon Musk described his personal views and habits on work and productivity. The Tesla CEO said that he takes about two to three days off each year and works every day of the week, and he sleeps for six hours at night. He also said that he didn’t believe in working from home for some while others including those who worked in factories had to show up at work in person.
Elon Musk felt that Tesla would be able to price cars according to the demand as it had “real time information” and this would help the electric vehicle maker navigate the difficulties that are expected in the next 12 months.
In his opinion, the Fed would be slow in lowering the interest rates and this would have a negative impact as the economy slowed down. He declared that this would hurt consumer demand.
