Grimes, who was known as a fearless iconic pop singer, is now known as Elon Musk’s girlfriend more often than not. Known for her energy, art and ideas the singer already had one child through natural birth with Elon Musk. Their son is called X as his name is difficult to pronounce. They have named their second child with another complex name and call their daughter Y.
When she was pregnant with her son in 2020 she faced complications. She said that both of them wanted additional children but they were afraid for her health as she had already faced problems. The couple connected through Twitter in 2018.
Last fall, Elon Musk confirmed to Time that they had a “semi-separated” relationship. He had said that their busy lives in different cities had contributed to their relationship being on and off. He had said that he lived in Texas while Grimes was working on Book 1 with X.
Grimes moved to Austin, around the time when her daughter was born in December. She was located in a home that was not far from downtown and a short drive away form the Tesla factory. She has avoided mentioning her location as she has been chased by paparazzi after her association with Musk.
Variety reported that Grimes and Musk used a surrogate to welcome their daughter. They were able to keep the birth of their daughter a secret due to the pandemic. They call her Y, although she has a full name that is as unpronounceable as X’s name.
When asked to define her relationship with Elon Musk, Grimes told the outlet that she would sort off call him her “boyfriend” although their relationship was very fluid. She said that they lived in separate houses and were “best friends.” She said that they were happy and planned to have more children.
Grimes Book 1 is still a work in progress. Captioning her as Musk’s girlfriend and forgetting her intelligence and artistic and radical elements is doing her a great injustice. Musk and Grimes are two different human beings but they seem to have a happy relationship that includes two children X and Y and possibly more to follow.
