Anthony Edwards scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied for a 112-107 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday in Minneapolis.

Julius Randle added 19 points and eight rebounds for Minnesota, which closed the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run in the final minute. Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid scored 15 points apiece as the Timberwolves won for the eighth time in 10 games.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points and dished seven assists to lead Oklahoma City, which lost for only the third time in 28 games this season. Jalen Williams scored 17 points, and Chet Holmgren and Ajay Mitchell finished with 14 points apiece.

Oklahoma City led 107-104 with 1:09 remaining after Holmgren sank a pair of free throws.

Randle cut the deficit to two when he made the first of two free-throw attempts with 53.1 seconds to go. DiVincenzo grabbed the rebound of a miss on the second foul shot, and Edwards put the Timberwolves on top for good when he drilled a step-back 3-pointer with 38.5 seconds to go.

Edwards blocked Gilgeous-Alexander’s layup attempt on the next possession, and Randle converted on the other end with a pair of free throws to make it 110-107 with 11.9 seconds to go.

Jaden McDaniels finished the scoring with two more free throws for the Timberwolves with 1.1 seconds remaining.

The Thunder held on to an 85-83 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

Minnesota led 72-65 after Edwards knocked down a step-back jump shot with 5:24 remaining in the third quarter.

The Thunder responded with a 16-3 run to grab a six-point lead with 1:45 to go in the third. Gilgeous-Alexander started the run with a 3-pointer, and he finished it with a dunk off a feed from Alex Caruso.

Oklahoma City led 51-48 at the half.

Timberwolves coach Chris Finch was ejected midway through the first quarter after he drew a pair of technical fouls. Finch, who needed to be restrained by his assistants, came onto the court as he argued that Oklahoma City’s Luguentz Dort should have been called for a foul.

Top assistant Micah Nori took over coaching duties for the Timberwolves after Finch’s ejection.
