DOTA News: Trio of teams stay unbeaten at DreamLeague Group Stage 2

BetBoom Team, Team Falcons and Shopify Rebellion all picked up wins on Saturday to remain undefeated in Group Stage 2 action at DreamLeague Season 22.

BetBoom beat Xtreme Gaming 2-1, while Shopify took care of Gaimin Gladiators by the same score. Team Falcons swept OG 2-0.

Team Spirit also won on Saturday, edging Aurora 2-1.

Group Stage 2 features one round robin of the top eight teams to advance, and matches are best-of-three. The playoffs are a four-team, double-elimination bracket. The grand final will be a best-of-five match.

Critical ESL Pro Tour points toward qualification for additional 2024 events are also on the line. The event concludes March 10 at Meltdown London.

After winning on red in 40 minutes, BetBoom Team fell on green in 27 minutes before claiming a 35-minute win on red to improve to 2-0. Russian Danil “gpk” Skutin led the winners with an average kill-death-assist ratio of 5.0-0.3-7.3.

The Philippines’ Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer rung up an average K-D-A of 11.7-2.7-10.7 as Shopify Rebellion prevailed on green in 38 minutes, lost on red in 36 minutes and completed the victory with a 46-minute triumph on red.

Team Falcons’ shutout consisted of wins on red (in 26 minutes) and green (in 52 minutes). Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf of Jordan posted a 7.0-3.5-12.0 ratio for the Falcons.

Aurora took the first map in 38 minutes on red, but Team Spirit rallied, cruising to a pair of wins on red — in 41 and 44 minutes. Russia’s Denis “Larl” Sigitov averaged 6.7 kills, 5.0 deaths and 6.3 assists in the victory.
