DOTA News: Three teams stay perfect in FISSURE Universe: Episode 4

Team Spirit, Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators pulled off sweeps for the second straight day in the second round of FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 group stage on Sunday.

The $500,000 Dota 2 tournament runs through March 30. The event features a group stage using a modified Swiss system for 16 teams through March 26. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs and the remaining teams are eliminated.

The playoffs on March 27-30 use a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winning team earns $250,000.

Team Spirit began its sweep of Boom Esports with a 64-minute win on green and finished in 32 minutes on red.

Team Liquid also had a lengthy first map in knocking off Team Tidebound, winning in 64 minutes on green. They finished up in 26 minutes on green.

The Gladiators needed less time to finish off Team Falcons, winning twice on red: in 23 and 37 minutes.

PARIVISION, which was swept when competition began Saturday, won via sweep on Sunday. They defeated One Move in 49 minutes on green and 35 minutes on red.

The day’s other winners were Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team, Tundra Esports and Talon Esports.

The tournament continues Monday with eight matches in round three:

–BOOM Esports vs. PARIVISION
–Wildcard vs. One Move
–Team Spirit vs. Gaimin Gladiators
–Team Falcons vs. Talon Esports
–Tundra Esports vs. Team Liquid
–Night Pulse vs. BetBoom Team
