DOTA News: Three more teams eliminated at PGL Wallachia Season 2

Infinity, beastcoast and Nouns Esports stayed alive with 2-1 victories on Monday at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 competition in Bucharest, Romania.

Infinity eliminated Nigma Galaxy, beastcoast knocked out L1GA TEAM and Nouns sent MOUZ packing in Round 4 matches between teams that entered the day deadlocked at 1-2 in the group stage.

The $1 million Dota 2 event opened with 16 teams in a modified Swiss-system group stage. The top eight teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs, while the bottom eight are eliminated. HEROIC and Team Falcons have already qualified for the playoffs.

All matches are best-of-three except for the best-of-five grand final on Oct. 13. The championship team will pocket $300,000, with the runner-up receiving $175,000.

Infinity sandwiched 50- and 52-minute wins on red around Nigma Galaxy’s 33-minute win, also on red.

After L1GA TEAM opened with a 56-minute win on red, beastcoast rallied with 28- and 32-minute victories on red.

Nouns bookended a 41-minute win on red and a 29-minute victory on green around MOUZ’s 48-minute triumph on red.
