DOTA News: Team Spirit, PARIVISION still perfect in Group Stage 2 at DreamLeague

Team Spirit and PARIVISION rallied from early deficits to pick up 2-1 wins on Sunday in Group Stage 2 action at the DreamLeague Season 24 event.

Both teams are now 3-0 and sit atop the standings with four days of Group Stage 2 play remaining.

After falling to Xtreme Gaming in 36 minutes, Team Spirit bounced back with a 43-minute victory and a 63-minute victory. Team Spirit played the entirety of their match on red, and they got an average of 5.3 kills, 5.0 deaths and 12.7 assists from Denis “Larl” Sigitov of Russia.

PARIVISION got the best of Team Liquid, responding to a 38-minute loss on red with wins in 41 minutes (on green) and 31 minutes on red.

In other action Sunday, Team Falcons edged Tundra Esports 2-1 and BetBoom Team blanked Team Waska 2-0.

Group Stage 1 featured two groups competing in single round-robin play, with all matches consisting of two games. Action ran through Wednesday, and the top four teams from each group moved on to Group Stage 2.

The eight teams that advanced to Group Stage 2 are playing each other in a lone round-robin group. All matches are best-of-three, and the two best squads will land in the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams will head to the lower bracket of the playoffs and the remaining four teams will be eliminated.

Group Stage 2 began Friday and runs through Thursday.

The playoffs, which start on Saturday, will feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three aside from the best-of-five grand final next Sunday. The winner will take home $300,000 of the $1 million prize pool.
