Team Falcons swept Team Spirit in the best-of-five grand final at FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 on Sunday.

After Team Falcons started the day with a 2-0 win over Team Liquid in the lower-bracket final, it finished a perfect day against previously unbeaten Team Spirit, who had gone 4-0-0 in the group stage before winning the upper-bracket final over Liquid on Saturday.

Falcons will bring home the $125,000 grand prize. Spirit settled for $60,000 for second place.

The $250,000 Dota 2 tournament began with a round-robin group stage featuring two groups of five teams playing best-of-two matches. The top team from each group advanced to the upper-bracket final. The second- and third-place teams from each group moved on to the playoffs’ lower bracket while the remaining teams were eliminated.

The playoffs spanned Saturday and Sunday utilizing a double-elimination bracket. Those matches were best-of-three except for Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

Against Team Liquid, Falcons scored a 53-minute win on green and a 47-minute win on red. Oliver “skiter” Lepko of Slovakia averaged a 14.0-4.5-9.5 kills-deaths-assists ratio in that match for Falcons.

Then came the grand final against Team Spirit. Team Falcons opened with a 50-minute victory on green and went on to prevail in 36 minutes on red and 36 minutes on green to finish off the 3-0 sweep. Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak of Russia guided Falcons with an average K-D-A of 9.0-1.3-16.3.

Prize pool:

1. $125,000 — Team Falcons
2. $60,000 — Team Spirit
3. $30,000 — Team Liquid
4. $15,000 — PARIVISION
5-6. $10,000 — Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team
7-10. No prize money — Gaimin Gladiators, Team Tidebound, AVULUS, Virtus.pro
