Team Spirit got its revenge Sunday, winning the Dota PGL Wallachia Season 1 grand final in Bucharest with a 3-2 victory over Xtreme Gaming.

The grand final was a rematch of a best-of-three upper-bracket semifinal Friday, when Xtreme Gaming defeated Team Spirit in dominating fashion by winning a pair of maps on green.

Team Spirit dropped into the lower bracket and stormed to the final with victories over BOOM Esports and G2 x iG on Saturday. A spot in the grand final wasn’t earned until Team Spirit got past Team Falcons 2-1 earlier Sunday, winning the deciding map on green.

Xtreme had earned their spot in the grand final Saturday with a 2-0 sweep of Falcons.

Xtreme opened the grand final with a 45-minute win on green before Spirit got even with a 49-minute win on green. Again, Xtreme went in front with a 47-minute win on green and moved one map away from the title.

Spirit made quick work of the fourth map, winning in 39 minutes on red, before wrapping up the top prize in 58 minutes on green.

Team Spirit earned the $300,000 top prize of the $1 million purse, while Xtreme settled for the $175,000 runner-up prize. Team Falcons earned $120,000 for finishing third.
