Five teams found the win column on the first day of ESL One Bangkok group-stage action on Monday in Thailand.

Shopify Rebellion and Team Falcons co-lead Group A after opening with one win and one tie. Team Spirit also picked up a win in that group but have a loss to go with it. In Group B, BetBoom Team and PARIVISION are tied at the top with one win and one tie.

Twelve teams, including eight regional qualifiers, are competing this week in the $1 million ESL One Bangkok tournament. The group stage (running Monday through Wednesday) splits teams into two round-robin groups of six, where all series consist of two games.

The top two teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams from each group will move into the lower bracket and the other teams will be eliminated. The double-elimination playoff bracket features best-of-three matches except for Sunday’s grand final, which is best-of-five.

On Monday, Team Falcons notched a 2-0 win over Team Spirit, prevailing in 42 minutes on red and 44 minutes on green. Spirit bounced back by sweeping Natus Vincere in 26 minutes on green and 33 minutes on red.

Shopify Rebellion also defeated NaVi, winning in 31 minutes on green and 33 minutes on red.

The only two matches in Group B not to end in a draw were BetBoom’s victory over Team Liquid and PARIVISION’s triumph over beastcoast. BetBoom won in 39 minutes on green and 33 minutes on red; PARIVISION prevailed in 45 minutes on red and 22 minutes on green.
