DOTA News: Gaimin Gladiators advance to Bali Major grand final

The red-hot Gaimin Gladiators swept Tundra Esports to reach Sunday’s best-of-five grand final of the 2023 Bali Major.

GG posted a 42-minute win on green and a 34-minute victory on red to knock Tundra into the lower bracket.

Tundra will face Team Liquid in the lower bracket final for a shot at the title.

Eighteen Dota 2 teams from around the world were invited to compete for the $500,000 prize pool. The winner will receive $200,000 and 600 Dota Pro Circuit points, and the runner-up will earn $100,000 and 550 DPC points.

GG continued their dominant run in 2023, which includes victories at the Lima Major in March, the Berlin Major in May and first-place finishes in DreamLeague Seasons 19 and 20.

Liquid advanced to the lower bracket final with a 2-1 win Saturday against Quest Esports. Liquid opened with a 57-minute win on red. After Quest answered with a 43-minute win on green, Liquid pulled out a 48-minute victory on green.

In the lower bracket quarterfinals, Quest swept PSG.LGD and Liquid rallied for a 2-1 victory over 9Pandas. 9Pandas and PSG.LGD finished in 5th-6th place and earned $25,000 each plus 400 DPC points.
