DOTA News: Falcons, PARIVISION set for playoffs in ESL One Bangkok

Team Falcons, BetBoom Team and PARIVISION each recorded a win on Wednesday to punch their tickets to the upper-bracket semifinals in the ESL One Bangkok group stage in Thailand.

Falcons dispatched Natus Vincere in a Group A match while BetBoom Team swept Gaozu and PARIVISION brushed aside Nigma Galaxy in Group B contests.

AVULUS earned the final spot in the upper-bracket semifinals by virtue of their 1-1 draw versus Shopify Rebellion in Group A.

Twelve teams, including eight regional qualifiers, began the $1 million ESL One Bangkok tournament on Monday.

The top two teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs. The third- and fourth-place teams from each group moved into the lower bracket and the others were eliminated. The double-elimination playoff bracket features best-of-three matches except for Sunday’s grand final, which is best-of-five.

Team Falcons posted a 69-minute win on red and 45-minute victory on green to capture their match and set up their clash versus BetBoom Team on Thursday. BetBoom Team prevailed Wednesdayt with 44- and 33-minute wins on green.

PARIVISION recorded 34- and 28-minute victories on green to book their match versus AVULUS, who collected a 33-minute win on green before Shopify Rebellion responded with a 33-minute win, also on green.

As for Shopify Rebellion, they will face Team Liquid while Team Spirit will square off versus Nigma Galazy in their respective lower-bracket first-round matches.
