DOTA News: Falcons, OG off to 4-0 starts at DreamLeague Season 27

OG and Team Falcons improved to 4-0 to share first place at DreamLeague Season 27 on Saturday.

Another five teams sit right behind at 3-1, including Team Spirit, which entered the day atop the group-stage standings but suffered its first loss, 2-0 to OG.

The $1 million Dota 2 event features 24 teams starting in a Swiss System group stage. All matches are best-of-three, with the top eight teams advancing to the double-elimination playoffs, which run from Dec. 17-21.

Playoff matches will all be best-of-three ahead of the best-of-five grand final.

The championship team will receive $200,000 in prize money and a $30,000 club reward. The runner-up side will get $125,000 and a $25,000 club reward.

On Saturday, OG took care of business with a 57-minute win on green and a 63-minute victory on red to knock Team Spirit from the ranks of the unbeaten. Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer of the Philippines posted an average kills-deaths-assists ratio of 19.5-5.5-21 to lead OG.

Team Falcons was pushed to the limit by Pipsqueak+4, sandwiching 30-minute and 29-minute victories on green around Pipsqueak’s 32-minute win on green. Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf of Jordan led the way for Team Falcons with a K-D-A ratio of 8.0-3.0-10.0.
