Team Falcons defeated BetBoom Team on Saturday to qualify for the grand final at DreamLeague Season 22.

The Falcons, who won the match in three maps, including one that lasted more than an hour, await the winner of the Sunday’s lower-bracket final between BetBoom and Xtreme Gaming. The grand final, which will be a best-of-five rather than a best-of-three, will follow at Meltdown London.

Xtreme also survived a three-map match on Saturday, knocking off Team Spirit in a lower-bracket semifinal.

DreamLeague Season 22 began with 16 top Dota 2 teams from around the world competing for shares of the $1 million prize pool. Eight teams advanced out of Group Stage 1.

Group Stage 2 featured one round robin of the top eight teams, and matches were best-of-three.

Critical ESL Pro Tour points toward qualification for additional 2024 events are also on the line. The championship side will earn $300,000, and the runner-up will receive $175,000.

BetBoom began their match with a win in 38 minutes on red, but the Falcons took over. They won in 63 minutes on red and in 34 minutes on green to clinch.

Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak of Russia led the winners with an average kill-death-assist ratio of 7.3/2.3/13.7. Countryman Danil “gpk” Skutin paced the Falcons at 7.0/3.3/9.0.

Earlier in the day, Xtreme began their match with a 47-minute win while playing on green. Spirit responded by prevailing in 42 minutes on red, but Xtreme wrapped up the match on green in 41 minutes.

Wang “Ame” Chunyu led Xtreme’s all-China lineup with a KDA of 8.0/1.3/10.7, while Denis “Larl” Sigitov of Russia posted a 5.7/3.3/10.3 for Spirit.
