Esports tournament organizer BLAST is expanding into Dota 2 with five events in 2024 and 2025.
BLAST already runs events in Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite and Rocket League.
“BLAST prides itself on unparalleled production quality and game-changing fan-first moments while bringing together the very best teams and biggest superstars to fight it out for glory on the server,” said Andrew Haworth, vice president of ecosystems at Valve & Riot Games. “We look forward to bringing this approach to the world of Dota 2 and providing fans with the best esports entertainment on offer.”
First on the Dota 2 schedule is a studio event from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1. The other four tournaments will take place in 2025: Feb. 4-9, May 6-11, Oct. 14-19 and Nov. 25-30.
The complete schedule will be released this summer, including formats, prize pools and locations.
