BetBoom Team claimed a spot in the upper-bracket final at the DreamLeague Season 24 event with a 2-0 rout of Team Liquid on Thursday, but their next opponent was not determined as Group Stage 2 concluded.

While BetBoom Team finished atop the round robin with a 6-1 record, PARIVISION and Team Spirit tied for second at 5-2 after each earned a 2-1 win on Thursday. PARIVISION got past Xtreme Gaming (1-6), and Team Spirit edged Team Falcons (4-3).

As a result, Team Spirit and PARIVISION will square off in a tiebreaker match on Friday. The winner will square off with BetBoom Team in the upper-bracket final, while the loser will oppose fourth-place Team Falcons in the lower-bracket semifinal.

In the other match on Thursday, Tundra Esports (3-4) registered a 2-0 win over Team Waska (1-6).

Group Stage 1 featured two groups competing in single round-robin play, with all matches consisting of two games. The top four teams from each group moved on to Group Stage 2.

The eight teams that advanced to Group Stage 2 played each other in a lone round-robin group. All matches were best-of-three, and the two best squads will land in the upper bracket of the playoffs, the third- and fourth-place teams will head to the lower bracket of the playoffs and the remaining four teams will be eliminated.

The playoffs, which start on Saturday, will feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three aside from the best-of-five grand final on Sunday. The winner will take home $300,000 of the $1 million prize pool.

On Thursday, BetBoom Team toppled Team Liquid in 28 minutes on green and 24 minutes on red. Russia’s Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko paced BetBoom Team with an average kill-death-assist ratio of 11.0/0.5/7.5.

PARIVISION opened with a 38-minute win on red before Xtreme Gaming pulled level with a 24-minute victory on red. PARIVISION claimed the decisive third map in 35 minutes on red. Ukraine’s Volodymyr “No(o)ne-” Minenko recorded an 8.7/3.7/8.3 K-D-A ratio for PARIVISION.

Team Spirit needed 78 minutes on red to take the first map from Team Falcons, who replied with a 40-minute triumph on red. Team Spirit then prevailed in 51 minutes on red. Russia’s Denis “Larl” Sigitov posted a 7.3/3.7/12.0 K-D-A ratio for Team Spirit.
