DOTA News: AVULUS, Tundra, NAVI advance at PGL Wallachia Season 2

AVULUS, Tundra Esports and Natus Vincere advanced to the playoffs with victories Tuesday at the PGL Wallachia Season 2 competition in Bucharest, Romania.

AVULUS recorded a 2-0 win over Invictus Gaming, Tundra did the same against Azure Ray and NAVI notched a 2-1 triumph versus Alliance in Round 4 matches between teams that entered the day deadlocked at 2-1 in the group stage.

The $1 million Dota 2 event opened with 16 teams in a modified Swiss-system group stage. The top eight teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs, while the bottom eight are eliminated.

All matches are best-of-three except for the best-of-five grand final on Oct. 13. The championship team will pocket $300,000, with the runner-up receiving $175,000.

AVULUS posted a 60-minute win on green and another 60-minute win on red to defeat Invictus Gaming

Tundra had an easier time of it, recording a 42-minute victory on red and a 19-minute victory on green against Azure Ray.

NAVI sandwiched a 41-minute win on red and a 38-minute victory on green around a 34-minute setback. Alliance accomplished that triumph on green.
