According to law enforcement officials, Stephen’s wife Allison Holker hurried into an LAPD station on Tuesday, frantic because Stephen had left home without his car, which was unusual for him.

Not long after, about 11:15 a.m., paramedics responded to a medical emergency call at an L.A. hotel and found Stephen, 40 was   dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the site.

Boss grew up in Alabama and attended Southern Union State Community College before moving to Chapman University to pursue dance performance. In 2013, he married Holker, with whom he had three children. The pair co-hosted the Disney+ docuseries “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.”
Boss choreographed dance routines for K-pop artists Seven and Big Bang. Boss co-founded CLI Studios, which offers online dance classes with top choreographers.

Stephen began DJing on Ellen’s show in 2014 and continued to do so till the show concluded in May 2022. In 2020, he was promoted to executive producer on the show.
In a statement to People Magazine, Boss’ wife, Allison Holker wrote, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.” Fans are devastated.
