Disney has announced the dates of the final voyage of Disney World’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The giant entertainment company said that guests would be able to enjoy the out-of-this-world experience in late September following which the company would announce measures to be taken for those who booked beyond the final closing date.
The two-day hotel experience called Galactic Starcruiser was teased in 2019 but opened in March 2022 at the Disney World Resort based in Orlando, Florida. This resort and its governance have been facing many problems due to the clash with Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, and the company recently announced that it was scrapping plans for a new Florida campus for its employees.
Disney has reportedly spent $2 billion to construct the Star Wars parks in both Florida and California. The Star Wars experience is described as an “immersive” one and has found favor with its patrons. It has won a Thea award. However, it is an expensive experience.

The two-day experience offers guests a lot of Star Wars related immersions and includes a lot of fun that is reminiscent of a Star Wars movie including the heroes and the villains with stormtroopers and Resistance spies. Some familiar faces including Chewbacca, Rey and Kylo Ren appear on board.
In a statement, Disney has described it as one of their “most creative projects.” The giant entertainment company said “the premium boutique experience” was an opportunity for the company to try an innovative learning experience on a small scale and said that they plan to create future experiences from what they learned from this one.
Although the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a popular experience, it is expensive for a normal American family and Disney fans have commented on the high price. Disney did not mention the reason for stopping the experience within a year and a half of its opening.
