Celebrity couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s home in Los Angeles is the latest home to be invaded by burglars. Robberies in Los Angeles A-lister homes are increasing, and this one took place in broad daylight.

A popular outlet reported that the thieves broke a glass pane in Hanks and Wilson’s guesthouse and gained entry. The alarm was triggered, yet they continued with the home invasion.

TMZ was the first to report the robbery in the guesthouse. The main house was reportedly secure, so the thieves could not enter the home. No information is available about the items that the burglars stole.

Police sources said that Hanks and Wilson were not particularly targeted but were the next residence to be robbed in a series of robberies that have been taking place in the upscale LA neighborhood.

The outlet also said that the police continue to investigate the burglaries. However, none of the thieves have been caught as yet.

A year ago, 34-year-old Chet Hanks found an intruder in his home. Although the thieves didn’t harm Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s eldest son Chet, the intruder assaulted the police officers who arrived at the scene.

Burglaries have been increasing in the neighborhood, and Hanks and Wilson are not the only Hollywood stars to face robberies. American actor and comedian Marlon Wayans’s home was robbed while his brother was living in the house.

American actor and comedian Keenan Ivory Wayans was sleeping in the house. Burglars shattered glass and entered the home. The thieves took away cash, amounting to thousands of dollars.

Sarah Hyland also saw masked intruders leaving her home on security cameras placed there. The Modern Family alum was not at home when the robbery took place.

Bhad Bahbie’s home was also robbed. The American rapper and internet model said several handbags and jewelry items were stolen from the residence.
