Apple concluded its announcements on new features for its popular devices at WWDC 2024, and CWEB reports on some of them for its web fans. The primary branding of the Cupertino giant is the launch of AI. Although the world considers this acronym artificial intelligence, Apple says AI stands for Apple Intelligence. It will work on newer chips. Apple has also updated its operating system for its devices, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Watches, TVs, and Vision Pro.
CWEB has highlighted the features that Apple has introduced for its web fans. The main focus is on Apple Intelligence, which will roll out its features on newer-gen iPhone models such as iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. MacBooks and iPads with Apple’s M series chips will also feature AI.
Apple has also planned the following software updates in 2024. They include
iOS 18 improves the customization of the home screen and control center. Web fans can lock apps with Face ID. There will also be improvements to Photos, Maps, Emails, and Messages.
iPadOS 18 will have features similar to iPhones, a calculator app, and a floating toolbar.
macOS Sequoia, also called macOS 15, will add a Continuity feature for accessing iPhones from Mac. It will upgrade Safari and include page summaries.
WatchOS 11 will increase the number of fitness-focused features. A Vital app can warn web fans if something is out of sync as it collects health metrics.
visionOS 2 will help web fans convert 2D into spatial photos. Support will be added for gestures.
tvOS 18 will add a feature called InSight. It appears to be similar to Amazon Prime Video’s X-Ray feature that lists information about the actors who appear in the shows that web fans watch on Apple TV.
Apple has also entered generative AI, partnering with OpenAI, the current leader in artificial intelligence, to integrate ChatGPT into the Apple Intelligence workflow on its iPhone.
