Fresh off the success of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, released this past May, Cruise’s presence at Pitt’s red carpet event electrified the crowd and reignited excitement among moviegoers worldwide.
The two Hollywood legends posed together against an F1-themed backdrop, complete with a sleek Formula 1 race car from the film, offering a picture-perfect moment for fans and press alike.
A Legendary Reunion
Their unexpected reunion stirred nostalgia among fans, marking their first major public appearance together in years. Many were reminded of their iconic collaboration in the 1994 gothic horror classic Interview with the Vampire. Though rumors of a future collaboration—like the once-planned Ford v Ferrari project, which was ultimately shelved due to budget concerns—have circulated over the years, no formal reunion has yet materialized.

Earlier this month, Pitt expressed interest in reuniting with Cruise on screen but with one lighthearted condition.
“I’d do a movie with him—as long as it’s on the ground,” Pitt joked, referencing Cruise’s well-known passion for performing high-risk stunts.

Brad Pitt has been actively promoting F1 with high-profile premieres in Mexico City and London. At the London event, he was joined by his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, as well as co-stars Kerry Condon and Damson Idris.
In the film, Pitt portrays Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver making a comeback to mentor a rising star, played by Idris. Adding authenticity to the production, F1 features a cameo by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who also served as a producer.
