Celebrity star Cynthia Nixon announced today that Andrew Cuomo’s Emmy will be rescinded. Cuomo was awarded an Emmy last year for his daily coronavirus briefings about the Coronavirus on television.

Cynthia Nixon tweeted, “The difference between me and Andrew Cuomo? Neither of us is governor, but I still have my Emmy(s).”

Celebrity actress Cynthia Nixon won. Two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2008 and 2004. She won the Emmy as a supporting role actress in sex in the city. She was also nominated for award when she played Eleanor Roosevelt in the HBO movie Warm Springs That was produced in 2005.

Cuomo’s  backers said she was “unhinged”, and the state Democratic Committee sent out 11th-hour mailers that implied she was anti-Semitic. Cuomo denied any knowledge these  mailers and condemned the smear untrue.

Cuomo outspent her on the campaign.1-10 but Nixon’s progressive platform gave light to Cuomo. moving more to the left on legal possession of marijuana, and voting rights for ex-cons to be restored.
