The MongolZ recorded a 2-1 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas in the grand final of the YaLLA Compass event on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Ninjas in Pyjamas got the early jump by posting a 16-12 win on Ancient before The MongolZ responded with a flourish. The MongolZ notched a 13-7 victory on Mirage and 13-6 triumph on Nuke to claim $200,000 of the Counter-Strike 2 event’s $400,000 prize pool.

Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren had 55 kills and a team-best plus-14 kills-to-death differential to pace the all-Mongolian lineup of The MongolZ.

Ninjas in Pyjamas were led by Spaniard Alejandro “alex” Masanet, who had 45 kills and a plus-2 kills-to-death differential.
