Team Spirit rebounded from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Virtus.pro in the grand final of the Counter-Strike 2 BetBoom Dacha event in Dubai on Sunday.

Virtus.pro won 13-8 on Overpass and 13-9 on Ancient, but an undaunted Spirit came back to tie the final with a 13-3 triumph on Vertigo, followed by a 13-5 victory on Mirage.

The two squads battled on the final map, Anubis. Virtus.pro went up 11-8 but couldn’t close it out, sending the map to overtime, where Spirit went 4-1 to finish the deciding round at 16-13 and gain the title.

It was the first reverse sweep in a best-of-five on LAN, according to Team Spirit.

Russians Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets led the way for Spirit. ArtFr0st had 74 kills and 57 deaths for a plus-17 kills-to-death differential, while donk had 89 kills and a plus-16.

Evgenil “FL1T” Lebedev, also from Russia, had 76 kills and a plus-4 differential.

Team Spirit pocketed $180,000 of the $300,000 prize pool.

BetBoom Dacha prize pool:
1. $180,000 — Team Spirit
2. $60,000 — Virtus.pro
3-4. $30,000 — MIBR, BetBoom Team
5-6. — Cloud9, FURIA Esports
