CSGO News: Team Falcons, MOUZ keep rolling at Stage 2 ESL Pro League 22

Team Falcons and MOUZ posted sweeps for the second consecutive day during Stage 2 play on Sunday in the ESL Pro League Season 22 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Team Spirit and G2 Esports also earned sweeps after opening with wins on Saturday.

In low matches on Sunday, Inner Circle Esports, Team Vitality and 3DMAX swept their way to victory, while Aurora Gaming also prevailed.

There were 16 teams at the start of Stage 1, with eight eliminated over five rounds. Eight more teams were invited directly to Stage 2: Team Vitality, MOUZ, Team Spirit, The MongolZ, Team Falcons, Aurora Gaming, FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere.

Stage 2 runs through Wednesday, featuring the eight teams advancing and the eight teams with automatic entries competing in a 16-team Swiss format, with all matches being best-of-three.

The top eight teams from Stage 2 qualify for the playoffs, which run Oct. 10-12 with a single-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three except for the grand final, which is best-of-five.

The tournament features a $400,000 prize pool, with the winner receiving $100,000.

On Sunday, Team Falcons took down Natus Vincere 2-0, winning 13-2 on Nuke before going to overtime in a 16-14 victory on Ancient. MOUZ had little trouble against Gentle Mates, prevailing 13-4 on Inferno and 13-11 on Mirage.

Team Spirit defeated HOTU 13-7 on Overpass and 13-6 on Dust II, while G2 Esports swept FURIA 13-11 on Train and 13-8 on Dust II.

Inner Circle Esports took out The MongolZ 13-9 on Dust II and 13-11 on Mirage, while Team Vitality cruised over GamerLegion 13-3 on Overpass and 13-1 on Dust II. 3DMAX prevailed 13-9 on Train and 13-11 on Dust II to sweep FaZe Clan.

Aurora Gaming fell behind as Astralis won 13-8 on Nuke, but Aurora bounced back on Train and Overpass by 13-9 scores.
