CSGO News: MOUZ, Spirit advance to playoffs at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade

MOUZ and Team Spirit each punched their ticket to the playoffs on Thursday in the $500,000 BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 event in the Serbian capital.

MOUZ captured Group A with a 2-1 victory over Virtus.pro, while Team Spirit emerged from Group B with a 2-0 win over HEROIC.

MOUZ sandwiched a 13-4 win on Dust II and a 13-2 victory on Mirage around a 16-13 setback on Vertigo. Hungary’s Adam “torzsi” Torzsas recorded 67 kills and a plus-34 kills-to-deaths differential for MOUZ.

Virtus.pro will get another crack at advancing to the playoffs when they face Team Falcons in a Group A decider match on Friday.

Team Spirit had an easier time of it on Thursday, capturing Group B with a 13-11 win on Nuke and a 13-8 victory on Mirage.

Russian Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had 50 kills and a plus-17 differential to pace Spirit.

Heroic will attempt to advance to the playoffs in a decider match versus MIBR.

MIBR dispatched Aurora 2-0 in an elimination match Thursday, notching a 13-5 win on Anubis and a 13-10 victory on Nuke.

Brazilian Rafael “saffee” Costa had 37 kills and a plus-20 K-D for MIBR.

Eight teams are participating in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament. Two groups of four teams are battling in a double-elimination format, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the single-elimination playoffs.

All matches are best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

The tournament continues Friday with two matches:
–Virtus.pro vs. Team Falcons (Group A decider match)
–HEROIC vs. MIBR (Group B decider match)
