Group play got started on Wednesday with eight teams competing in the $425,000 BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Cloud9 and FaZe Clan won their first matches in Group A, and Complexity and Team Vitality did the same in Group B at the Counter-Strike 2 event.

FaZe Clan swept Ninjas in Pyjamas, winning 13-6 on Vertigo and 13-9 on Nuke. Cloud9 sandwiched a 13-11 win on Anubis and a 13-9 victory on Inferno around a 13-9 loss to Natus Vincere on Ancient.

Group A action continues Thursday with Ninjas and NAVI meeting in an elimination match and FaZe and Cloud9 in a winners match.

Vitality and Complexity both earned sweeps in Group B. Vitality defeated Heroic 13-6 on Nuke and 13-9 on Inferno, while Complexity beat Astralis 13-9 on Ancient and 16-12 on Overpass.

Group B play wraps Thursday with Heroic facing Astralis in an elimination match and Vitality meeting Complexity in a winners match.

The single-elimination playoffs begin Friday with the quarterfinals. All matches are best-of-three, including Sunday’s grand final. The winner earns $200,000 plus 3,000 BLAST Premier points and automatic entry into the World Final in Abu Dhabi from Dec. 13-17.
