G2 Esports and Team Spirit advanced to the semifinals of the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 event on Tuesday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

G2 swept BetBoom Team 2-0 and Team Spirit did the same to HEROIC to reach the round of four. Their next opponents won’t be determined until Friday, as the teams will be re-seeded between rounds.

The first Valve Tier 1 event of the new year features eight teams in a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals and semifinals are best-of-three and the grand final will be a best-of-five format. Participating teams are competing for a $500,000 prize pool.

G2 Esports dominated BetBoom 13-2 on Anubis and 13-3 on Dust II. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Russia led the way for G2 with 36 kills and a plus-21 kills-to-deaths differential. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac (plus-14) and Israel’s Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko (plus-13) added 28 kills apiece.

Russian Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov had 24 kills to pace BetBoom.

Meanwhile, Team Spirit beat HEROIC 13-11 on Anubis and 13-3 on Nuke. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov of Russia guided Spirit with 39 kills and a plus-20 K-D, while countrymen Danil “donk” Kryshkovets (34 kills, plus-7) and Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov (31 kills, plus-11) also had strong days.

Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia of Spain had 35 kills and a plus-10 for HEROIC in defeat.

The tournament continues Friday with the other two quarterfinal matches:
–Natus Vincere vs. paiN Gaming
–Team Vitality vs. Eternal Fire

–Field Level Media
