CSGO News: G2 Esports sweep Spirit to win BLAST Premier: World Final

G2 Esports recorded a 3-0 victory over Team Spirit in the grand final to win the $1 million BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 on Sunday in Sentosa, Singapore.

G2 Esports sandwiched 13-7 wins on Mirage and Dust II around a 13-5 victory on Anubis.

Russian Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov joined Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac with 52 kills and had a plus-21 kills-to-death differential for G2 Esports.

Russian Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had 43 kills and a minus-1 kills-to-death differential to pace Team Spirit.

The Counter-Strike 2 event began Wednesday with eight teams battling for a top prize of $500,000. The top three teams from each group made the playoffs. All matches were best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

BLAST Premier World Final prize pool:
1. $500,000 — G2 Esports
2. $250,000 — Team Spirit
3-4. $85,000 — Astralis, Team Vitality
5-6. $25,000 — FazeClan, MOUZ
7-8. $15,000 — Natus Vincere, Team Liquid
