FURIA and Team Vitality each recorded a win on Friday to advance to the semifinals at the $300,000 Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2025 tournament in China.

FURIA posted a 2-0 victory over The MongolZ, courtesy of a 13-5 win on Mirage and 13-10 triumph on Overpass.

Latvia’s Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis had 39 kills to pace FURIA, who face Team Falcons in the semifinals on Saturday.

Team Vitality had a tougher time of it in their 2-1 win versus Astralis, sandwiching 13-7 victories on Inferno and Mirage around a 16-14 setback on Nuke.

Israel’s Shahar “flameZ” Shushan totaled 58 kills to fuel Vitality, who will take on MOUZ in their semifinal match on Saturday.

The single-elimination playoffs feature best-of-three matches until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

Sixteen Counter-Strike 2 teams began this week’s competition on Monday, vying for a top prize of $125,000.
