CSGO News: FaZe Clan, G2 Esports advance at BLAST Premier: Fall Final

FaZe Clan and G2 Esports swept their quarterfinal matches Friday at the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2024 competition in Copenhagen, Denmark.

FaZe Clan eliminated Team Liquid by winning 13-6 on Inferno and 13-3 on Mirage. Estonia’s Robin “ropz” Kool paced the winners with 37 kills and a plus-22 kills-to-deaths differential.

G2 Esports had to work a little harder against Team Spirit, winning 13-9 on Dust II and 16-13 in overtime on Mirage. Leading the way was Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov of Russia with 50 kills and a plus-20 differential.

Eight teams began this week’s $425,000 Counter-Strike 2 tournament, with the champion earning $200,000 and an entry into the World Final taking place from Oct. 30-Nov. 8 in Sentosa, Singapore.

All remaining matches are best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.

Saturday’s semifinal matches:
–Natus Vincere vs. FaZe Clan
–Team Vitality vs. G2 Esports

BLAST Premier Fall Final results (prize money, BLAST Premier points):
1. $200,000, World Final qualification, 3,200 points
2. $85,000, 2,200 points
3-4. $40,000, 1,300 points
5-6. $20,000, 600 points — Team Liquid, Team Spirit
7-8. $10,000, 400 points — Team Falcons, Astralis
