CSGO News: Eternal Fire lower boom on Liquid in grand final of CCT Global Finals

Eternal Fire recorded a 3-1 win over Team Liquid in the grand final of the Champion of Champions Tour Season 1 Global Finals on Thursday.

Eternal Fire pocketed $250,000 after posting a 13-5 victory on Interno and 13-10 triumph on Anubis in the first two maps and a 16-14 win on Nuke in the fourth. Liquid notched a 16-14 victory on Dust II in the third map.

Bugra “Calyx” Arkin had 79 kills and a plus-17 kills-to-death differential for the all-Turkish Eternal Fire.

Canadian Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken had 72 kills and a plus-2 rating for Team Liquid, which took home $100,000 for second-place honors.

The CCT Season 1 Global Finals split 16 teams into four double-elimination groups of four. The top two teams out of each group advanced to a single-elimination playoff bracket.

CCT Season 1 Global Finals prize pool:
1. $250,000 — Eternal Fire
2. $100,000 — Team Liquid
3-4. $50,000 – Astralis, GamerLegion
5-8. $12,500 — ENCE, Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team, AMKAL ESPORTS
9-12. no money — SAW, Fnatic, paiN Gaming, MIBR
13-16. no money — PARIVISION, Gaimin Gladiators, OG, BIG
