CSGO News: Esports World Cup: MongolZ, Aurora advance to CS:GO Grand Final

The MongolZ and Aurora Gaming advanced to the Grand Final Counter-Strike event at the Esports World Cup with semifinal wins Saturday.

The MongolZ defeated Team Vitality 2-1. Sodbayar ‘Techno’ Munkhbold led his squad to victory with a match-high 56 kills.

They won the first round on Mirage 13-8, before Vitality bounced back with a 9-13 win on Dust II. The MongolZ secured the victory with a 13-7 win on Nuke.

Aurora swept Team Falcons 2-0. The team opened up with a 13-6 win on Inferno, then raced to a 13-11 win on Train.

Ismailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dortkardes dominated for Aurora with 41 kills. His +17 kill differential easily led the match with the next-highest player being the Falcons’ Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov at +4.

Aurora will face the MongolZ on Sunday for the title, while the Falcons will take on Vitality in the third-place match.
