ENCE announced the completion of Guy “Nertz” Iluz’s transfer from Endpoint on Thursday.
The move was made after ENCE’s elimination from the IEM Katowice play-in stage.
Nertz, a 23-year-old from Israel, had competed with Endpoint since November 2021. He will join ENCE’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team and take the place of Valdemar “valde” Bjorn Vangsa, who was removed from the active roster on Tuesday due to “differences in playstyle.”
“We’ve had our eyes on Nertz for some time already, as his skills and potential are undeniable. He seems to fit the team really well, both role-wise and in terms of personality,” ENCE coach Eetu “sAw” Saha said in a statement. “I’m excited to welcome Nertz to the team and start working hard to reach our full potential together!”
Nertz is expected to make his debut for ENCE at the ESL Pro League Season 17, which begins Wednesday in Malta.
ENCE’s roster consists of Denmark’s Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, Poland’s Pawel “dycha” Dycha, Montenegro’s Pavle “Maden” Boskovic, Spain’s Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia and Nertz. valde is benched for ENCE.
