Simple recipe for hashbrown waffles:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups shredded potatoes (frozen hashbrowns or fresh, squeezed of excess moisture)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing the waffle iron

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Waffle Iron:
    • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Prepare Potatoes:
    • If using frozen hashbrowns, thaw them and squeeze out any excess moisture using a kitchen towel. If using fresh potatoes, peel and shred them using a grater.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
    • Combine the shredded potatoes, chopped onion, flour, eggs, melted butter, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
