Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is almost tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Add the Shrimp and Peas:
Arrange the seasoned shrimp or prawns on top of the rice mixture, then scatter the frozen peas evenly over the pan.
Cover the pan again and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Finish and Serve:
Once the shrimp are cooked, remove the lid and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the paella.
Squeeze lemon wedge
