Gluten-Free Dairy-Free Cheese Pizza with Garlic and Mushrooms
This recipe creates a delicious and customizable pizza that caters to both gluten and dairy sensitivities. Feel free to get creative with additional toppings!
Ingredients:
- Gluten-free pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- ¼ cup chopped fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup vegan mozzarella cheese shreds (or your favorite dairy-free cheese)
- Fresh herbs (optional: basil, oregano, thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven according to your pizza crust package instructions (usually around 400°F).
- If using a store-bought crust, pre-bake it according to package instructions for a crispier crust.
- While the crust pre-bakes, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened and lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the pre-baked crust.
- Top with sauteed garlic mushrooms and vegan cheese shreds.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Tips:
- For extra flavor, roast the garlic instead of sauteing it. Simply wrap a head of garlic in foil and roast at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden brown. Let cool slightly, then squeeze the roasted cloves out of their skins and mince or mash them.
