Now, his approximately 2.7-acre waterfront property in Palm Beach has been put up for sale by a trust that is tied to Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, his widow. The tony property in North Ocean Boulevard has a reported asking price between $150 million to $175 million. The oceanfront estate was bought by the talk show radio conservative icon, in 1998 for $3.9 million, according to records.
This oceanfront property might become the most expensive purchase of a home, in the Sunshine State. In June, Larry Ellison bought a 16-acre estate in Manalapan, Florida. The final amount according to records was $173 million. There is a high probability that Rush Limbaugh’s oceanfront property might beat this sale.
The Limbaugh property consists of a main house and additional houses. According to reports, the main house spans approximately 24,000 square feet. It is a two-story mansion. It was decorated by the conservative host and reflected places and things that Rush Limbaugh had visited and admired.
There is a vast salon in the property that is meant to reflect Versailles. There is also a huge chandelier in the dining room that was a copy of the iconic one in the Plaza Hotel in New York City, according to reports. The main house has seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. It also has a two-story library as well as an elevator.
The main property has a few hundred feet of private ocean access. There is a swimming pool and a putting green. There are five built in structures in the 1495 N Ocean Blvd estate. One of these structures houses a state-of-art studio.. Rush Limbaugh recorded his popular show from this studio, every weekday, for more than two decades.
