Colin Castleton scored 18 points, Kowacie Reeves added 11 and visiting Florida defeated LSU 67-56 on Tuesday night in Baton Rouge La.

The Gators (9-7, 2-2 SEC) outscored the Tigers (12-4, 1-3) in free throws (24-13) and points off turnovers (23-5).

KJ Williams was the only LSU player to score in double figures, finishing with 23 points.

Trae Hannibal, who finished with 12 rebounds, made a basket to start the second-half scoring, giving the Tigers a five-point lead.

The Gators scored the next five points and the score was tied three more times before Myreon Jones’ 3-pointer finished a 7-0 run that gave them a 41-36 lead.

Williams made two free throws to stop the run, but the lead grew to 48-40 on Riley Kugels’ 3-pointer midway through the half.

Williams scored six straight LSU points as the Tigers got within four points, but Florida expanded the lead to 58-49 on Alex Fudge’s dunk with 3:56 left.

The Gators, who fell behind Georgia 23-10 before rallying to victory on Saturday, got off to another slow start.

They went more than five minutes without making a field goal as the Tigers took a 7-0 lead.

Reeves made two free throws for Florida’s first points and added a 3-pointer for the first field goal en route to the Gators taking an 8-7 lead.

Williams scored seven of LSU’s first 11 points and the score was tied at 11 and at 14.

Tyrell Ward and Adam Miller sandwiched 3-pointers around a Miller layup to give the Tigers a 24-16 lead.

Trey Bonham’s 3-pointer ended a field-goal drought of almost four minutes for the Gators and Castleton added two free throws to trim the lead to three points.

Florida tied the score at 25 after LSU went six minutes without making a field goal. Ward ended the drought by making a 3-pointer that gave LSU a 28-25 halftime lead.
