With mounting evidence against Brian Walshe, the investigators will continue to go through the crime scene. Unfortunately, the recovery efforts for Ana, the wife of Brian Walshe, seem grim.
Investigators have been unable to confirm Brian Walshe’s report that his wife Jan. took an Uber or Lyft at 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day to board her flight from Boston to Washington, D.C. Walshe had informed police that was the last time he saw her before her disappearance.
According to prosecutors, a bloodied knife was discovered in the family’s basement, and Brian Walshe allegedly spent $450 on cleaning products after his wife went missing. His car was seized, and there is proof that it was recently cleaned.
Brian Walshe is being held on a $500,000 bond with a charge of misleading investigators in the case.
An Instagram post back in 2018 may reveal a turbulent marriage with the couple. Just two weeks before sending her letter to the Honorable Judge Douglas P. Woodlock of the Boston State District Court pleading for a no-jail sentence, she revised her post originally written in 2018, 35 weeks ago. Brian Walshe has an outstanding court case about an art fraud case, and she pleaded to the court with a letter for a no-jail sentence. Also, in the letter sent June 1, 2022, was a statement about how Brian saved her mother’s life and helped her through a devastating health issue. The letter read, “My mother suffered a major neurological event which caused heavy hemorrhage,” Ana Walshe wrote. “Not only did he save her life, but he also brought her and the entire family comfort and joy during the course of her illness.”
