Celebrity Vin Diesel has released a statement through his lawyer denying the sexual assault allegations made by an ex-assistant. On Thursday, a former assistant of the actor of Fast and Furious fame accused him of sexually molesting her more than a decade ago and getting her fired a few hours after the alleged sexual assault.
The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims that celebrity actor Vin Diesel sexually assaulted Asta Jonasson in 2010 when Fast Five was being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Vin Diesel had allegedly partied with hostesses from a nearby club and had later attacked Jonasson in the St. Regis Hotel.
The lawsuit describes the assault in graphic detail including groping and much more. It said that Jonasson was overpowered by a much stronger Vin Diesel and he continued the assault without consent till she screamed and ran towards the nearest bathroom and more.
The lawsuit also said that Jonasson was fired a few hours later when she was still at the hotel, trying to process the disturbing assault. It said that she got a call from Samantha Vincent. Vincent is Vin Diesel’s sister as well as the head of his production company One Race. She told Jonasson that her employment was terminated. Jonasson believes that she was fired for resisting a sexual assault from Vin Diesel.
Asta Jonasson is suing celebrity Vin Diesel, his sister Samantha Vincent, and his production company One Race. She wants a jury trial and is seeking damages but the lawsuit has not mentioned a specific figure.
Jonasson also said that she had remained silent for years as she was afraid of the power that celebrity actor Vin Diesel had in Hollywood. She said that the Speak Out Act of California empowered her to file the suit. She has filed the suit against celebrity Vin Diesel under the California Sexual Abuse and Cover-Up Accountability Act.
