Celebrity Trisha Yearwood sold her mansion in Tennessee earlier this month, just a day before her husband, country singer Garth Brooks was sued by an employee for rape. Yearwood, a country singer and the star of a popular food show bought the estate almost a quarter century ago, before she married celebrity singer Garth Brooks, according to a popular real estate site.
Popular real estate site Realtor said the 4.42-acre property was listed last May. It saw a couple of price drops from $4.5 million to its final listing of $3.8 million in September. The property boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen with high-end appliances and equipment. The 60-year-old used it for her food show on the Food Network.
Trisha Yearwood has married country singer Garth Brooks for almost a decade. She sold the estate that also boasts of state-of-the-art security and more, a day before Brooks was sued for rape by a Jane Doe, whom outlets identified as a former makeup artist who worked with the country singer.
On Thursday, October 3, a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles state court against Garth Brooks. She alleged that the American singer-songwriter had raped her. She also detailed other occasions when she was subject to unwanted sexual advances from the singer and not just the rape in a hotel room. She also said that she received lewd texts from him.
Garth Books released a statement later on Thursday after the lawsuit was filed. He maintained his innocence and said that he had already filed a case of extortion as a John Doe against the makeup artist, saying that a demand of “many million dollars” as “hush money” had been made. The preemptive lawsuit against the plaintiff was filed in September in a federal court in Mississippi.
On Friday, Douglas Wigdor and his legal team, representing the plaintiff, issued a statement that said, “…It seems as though Sean Combs and Garth Brooks are using the same public relations team by attacking legitimate victims…” and more.
