Celebrity rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested in Florida on Wednesday. He had failed to appear at a court hearing. He was arrested and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail. He was later released after three hours, after paying a bail amount of $2,000 and after a mug shot, according to reports.
TMZ was the first to report the arrest. In June, rapper Tekashi drove above the speed limit, and broke traffic rules not once, not twice but thrice. Police pulled him over for speeding and he received one ticket and two citations.
Court documents revealed that Tekashi 6ix9ine received one speeding ticket as he was traveling at a speed of 135 miles per hour (mph) at a 65-mph zone at the Florida turnpike, on June 14. He received the second citation for driving an unregistered vehicle and the third one for having no insurance on the car.
The rapper was scheduled to appear in court for traffic violations on July 12. Since he failed to appear, a judge issued an arrest warrant, and the result was a Wednesday night arrest.
Rapper Tekashi has been in and out of trouble for years. In 2018-2019, he cooperated with the feds and brought down members of the gang he formerly belonged to.
